TALENT EVENING 2003

Nigel Comperes the Evening Picture the scene. Crowthorne Parish Hall, a balmy Saturday evening in March. Tension mounting in the Green Room as the cream of CATS talent prepares for the showdown....

No, this wasn't it at all. A bunch of us CATS members with party pieces to offer and nowhere else to go entertained each other with song, dance, poetry recital and drama. Comperes Sophie Taylor and Nigel Willetts held it all together with taste and wit - and some gaffer tape!

The audience oiled with with a fish supper and plenty of alcohol thoroughly enjoyed the evening's entertainment and were exposed to some raw talent. Every opportunity for dressing up and wig-wearing was exploited to the max.

Special thanks to our outgoing social secretary, Laura Gosden for organizing this great event and to John Taylor for getting to grips with all that technical business. Well done to everyone who participated and particular starry congratulations to the winners - Baldie (a dubious Blondie tribute band), St Whineycats School Choir (old people should not be allowed to wear school uniform) and Supreme Champion, Laura (just call me Judy Garland) Gosden for her a cappella version of "Over the Rainbow"
