NOT NOW DARLING by Ray Cooney & John Chapman

24th-26th April 2003 - Crowthorne Parish Hall

NOT NOW, DARLING tells the hilarious story of marital infidelity by a furrier in downtown London. Set in the salon of prestigious Bodley, Bodley and Crouch, one of the owners, Gilbert Bodley, has decided to lavish his intended mistress, Janie, with an expensive mink coat to win her favors. Fearing retribution from her husband, Harry, a shady casino executive, he concocts a plan to sell the coat to him for a fraction of the cost, making up the difference from his personal funds. To avoid any further suspicion, he places the sale in the hands of his strait-laced fumbling partner, Crouch.

When Harry refuses the sale, Janie throws caution to the wind and takes extraordinary steps to get the coat for herself. Soon enough, however, Harry returns to purchase the coat. The problem is, he's not buying it for Janie, but for his secretary. The intricately woven and utterly ridiculous series of events that ensue will keep the audience on the edge of their seat right up to the final curtain.
