NIGEL WILLETTS
Nigel claims that he "doesn't do panto", though that didn't seem to stop him from being assistant director for "Dracula the Panto". Nigel's first role was Oberon, King of the Fairies, in "A Midsummer Night's Dream". This was his favourite role as it has been the only one where he has been able to boss Angie Chitty around! His kingly attitude and appearance were fantastic, and we were all amazed when all that disappeared and he became the train-loving Leonard Trotter in "Out of Focus". Unfortunately though, Nigel held onto more than a few mannerisms... He then added even more talents to the bag when he played Guy Jones in "A Chorus of Disapproval." He sang - in tune - and was superb. Added to these Herculean feats are the efforts that he put into performing the Hound of the Baskervilles, as a monologue, and in 15 minutes, for the CATS talent night. It was an amazing piece of drama, mostly because it was so bewildering watching him swap hats with pipes and blond wigs! Nigel has also been known to dress up as Indiana Jones to take part in the Crowthorne Carnival Procession with other members of the society. |
