CROWTHORNE CARNIVAL 2002 REPORTFirstly, thanks to everyone who helped with the stall and the procession Winnie the Pooh's "brother" was eventually named Louis, and was won by a little girl from Crowthorne (well, by her mum anyway) Well done to those that took part in the procession - for those that don't know, the society was judged 3rd in the community groups part of the parade competition, and we have got a certificate and a lovely big purple rosette to prove it!!! ![]() I've counted the money we made on the day, which came to just over £28 Pictures are available of the CATS procession costumes
CATS WIN CROWTHORNE CARNIVAL WINE & WISDOM QUIZCATS won this event with a team consisting of Jon Keen, Chris Vickers, Myf, Christina Bass and David & Beth Rhodes. They regained the title they first won in 1999. They beat 22 other teams and each received a prize winners shield. TALENT EVENING WINNERSThe talent show was won by Georgina Paluk from Edgbarrow school with an impressive rendition of the Judy Garland classic "Get Happy" which was featured on the Pop Idol show by Zoe Birkett and in the film, "The Rise and Fall of Little Voice", starring Jane Horrocks. Runner up was Karina Winslade with a dance routine to the music of Enrique Iglesias. |
